What is an infectious disease?
Infectious diseases refer to some diseases that are communicable. Infectious diseases are caused by pathogens invading the human body to reproduce or produce toxins, destroying the body's cells and their functions, and in severe cases can cause death.

Chain of Infection:

Pathogen-Source of Infection-Route of Transmission-Host.
The four main factors that contribute to the spread of infectious diseases are: pathogens, sources of infection, and routes of transmission
And the host, called the chain of infection.

Pathogen
The pathogens that cause infection are some very small microorganisms, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi (Mould) and parasites.

Source of infection
Refers to any environment where pathogens can survive, colonize and reproduce, such as infected people (such as patients, carriers, and patients with latent infection), livestock, insects, and soil.)

Humans can infect pathogens through contact with the source of infection.

way for spreading. Refers to the movement of pathogens from one place to another. Some infectious diseases can exceed one Spread in various ways, for example: chickenpox can be spread by contact or air.

Host
The host refers to those who are easily infected. Some people are more likely to be the host of infectious diseases, such as Infants, seniors and chronically ill patients. Their resistance is weak, so they are vulnerable

Principles of controlling infectious diseases-truncating the chain of infection:

There are four main factors in the spread of infectious diseases: pathogens, sources of infection, transmission routes and hosts. Therefore, to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, we should start by controlling these four factors to cut off the chain of infection.
